TAUNTON – Pamela L. Dacy, 64, died at her home on Saturday, May 12, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Minnie (Tipping) Dacy and the sister of Patricia (Dacy) Lawson with whom she lived. A graduate of the Taunton Public Schools, she also attended Cambridge Business College and was a graduate of University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.

Ms. Dacy was an employee of the Department of Public Welfare for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts , retiring after thirty years as a supervisor in 2002.. She worked in the Quincy, Brockton and Taunton Offices of the Department. She was a Union Steward for the Social Workers Union while working. She enjoyed traveling, music and was an avid Patriot and Red Sox fan. She was member of the Taunton Democratic Committee.

Besides her sister, she leaves one nephew, Patric Ian Lawson of Brooklyn, NY; three cousins, Howard Tipping of Raynham, Joyce Sherer and William Tipping of South Carolina; and a very dear friend, Frances Driscoll of Dedham.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church, Middleboro Ave., East Taunton, on Friday, May 18, 2007, at 9:30AM. Interment will follow the Mass in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00-8:00PM in the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton.
