Gertrude M. Carrier

February 28, 1915 - December 26, 2005

Gertrude M. (Metthe) Carrier, 90, formerly of Mt. Pleasant Street, died Monday, December 26, 2005 in the Taber Street Nursing Home. She was the widow of Roland J. Carrier.

Born February 28, 1915 in New Bedford the daughter of the late Oliva J. and Mabel M. (Bourque) Metthe, she was a life long resident of the city. Mrs. Carrier was a homemaker and a communicant of Sacred Heart of the Holy Name of Jesus Parish in New Bedford.

She is survived by several cousins.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be Friday, December 30, 2005 at 9:00 AM from the Donaghy Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in the Sacred Heart of the Holy Name of Jesus Church, New Bedford. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery #1, New Bedford. Calling hours are Thursday, December 29, 2005 from 4-7 PM.
