FALL RIVER, MA – Sharon A. (Solomon) Gendreau, 53, of Fall River, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009, in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of Gloria (Nassaney) Solomon of Fall River, MA and the late Ernest “Aneese” Solomon, she was the former wife of the late Marcel Gendreau.

Mrs. Gendreau attended BMC Durfee High School and then went on to graduate from Bristol Community College earning a degree in social services; she also attended UMASS Dartmouth. Mrs. Gendreau worked as an independent florist for several years. She was a member of Saint Anthony of the Desert Church in Fall River and enjoyed painting with water colors.

She is survived by two daughters, Nicole A. Gendreau of Framingham, MA. and Rachael M. Gendreau of Fall River; a sister, Donna Catalan and her husband Roger of Fall River; a nephew, Brandon Catalan of Fall River; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Information

A Mass of the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 10:00AM in Saint Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 North Eastern Ave., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. CALLING HOURS will be held, prior to the Mass, from 8:00-10:00AM in the Church. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
