Louise R. (Amaral) Taylor

TAUNTON – Louise R. (Amaral) Taylor, 80, died Thursday, February 28, 2008, in the Taunton Nursing Home. Born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joao and Ana (Vargas) Amaral, she was the wife of the late Lyman Taylor.

Mrs. Taylor was educated in the Taunton Public Schools and was a graduate of Taunton High School, Class of 1945. She enjoyed oil painting, baking, knitting, playing cards with friends, and visiting crafts fairs.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her children, Jane McGuire and her husband Richard of Taunton, Thomas Taylor of Hendersonville, NC, Paul Taylor of Farmington, ME, and the late Stephen Taylor. She was the grandmother of Jamie, Rodney and Casey Taylor and Nicholas and Timothy McGuire, and the great-grandmother of Xavier Stephen Kilduff. She was the sister of the late Mary Arruda and the aunt of several.

Funeral Information

Mrs. Taylor’s funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held from THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 9:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude’s Church at 10:00AM. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
