Annette B. (Singer) Johnson

ATTLEBORO – Annette B. (Singer) Johnson, 81, of Lindsey Street, Attleboro, died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at home. Born in New York City, a daughter of the late David & Ida (Albert) Singer, she worked as a secretary at the St. Regis Paper Co. (now the Fortifiber Corp.) from 1966 – 1992.

An Attleboro resident since 1968, coming from Norton, MA, and Norwood, MA, prior to that, Ms. Johnson was schooled in New York, and was a graduate of Savage College, New York University, Cornell and Middlesex Veterinary School. She also operated the Forest Hills Animal Hospital and was previously employed by the United Fruit Company and Rust Craft Greeting Cards.

She was a member of many organizations including the National Secretary’s Association, the Business and Professional Women’s Association, the Purchasing Managers Association of Providence, RI, the P.E.A.L. Club, and the Senior Citizens of South Attleboro. She was also a volunteer at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Annette also studied art (painting) at the workshop in Pawtucket, RI, under Sybil for many years.

She leaves many cousins of the first, second, and third generations in various states including New York, Florida, Texas, Illinois and California.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at 12:00Noon in the FOLEY –HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 S. Main St., Attleboro, MA, with burial to follow in the North Purchase Cemetery.
