TAUNTON – Joy M. Allison, devoted daughter and mother, died suddenly at her home Thursday, May 8, 2008. Born in Taunton, devoted daughter of Rosemary (Carter) Allison of Taunton and the late Dwane Allison, she was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church. Ms. Allison was a graduate of the former Sacred Heart Grammar School, Bishop Cassidy High School and attended Boston State College.

Ms. Allison was working as a Quality Control Supervisor for Kens’ Food’s of Marlborough, prior to which she worked as a Quality Control Supervisor for twenty years for Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., in Middleboro. She loved dogs, particulary Scottish Terriers.

Ms. Allison was the devoted mother of Nicole Joy Allison- Arruda and her husband Jason of Taunton. She was the sister of Paul Allison, Harry Allison and Steven Allison, all of Taunton, and the sister-in-law of Pam Allison, Sharon Allison and Anne Donnelly. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Tuesday, May 13, 2008, from 5:00-8:00PM in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton. A graveside service will be held in St Joseph’s Cemetery Wednesday, May 14, at 11:00AM.
