View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TEXAS/ RAYNHAM – Lawrence E. Barr, 90, formerly of Raynham, died in Lewisville, TX, on January 14, 2008. Born in Taunton, the son of the late Edgar and Inez (George) Barr, he had been resident of Raynham before moving to Texas in 2002.
A veteran of the U. S. Army Corp of Engineers, serving his country during WW II, Mr. Barr was the electrical facilities engineer at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was a member of the American Institute of Engineers and the Hospital Association of Rhode Island. He was a past master of the Ionic Lodge F&A Masons and a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Taunton.
He was the late husband of the late Ingeborg Barr and the father of Roger Barr of Milton, VT; Jean Andrade of Prescott Valley, AZ; Janice McNutly of Cornith, TX; Jane Butler of Berkley; and the late Joan Padley. He was the grandfather of ten and the great-grandfather of four.

A memorial service will be held in Taunton in June.
