View Tribute and Sign Guestbook NEW BEDFORD – Joann L. (Waldron) Teves died Saturday, March 22, 2008, in St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford, after a brief illness. Born in Bristol, CT, the daughter of the late Marian Roberts and Joseph Waldron, she lived most of her adult life in Fairhaven where she raised her children. She was the wife of the late William R. Teves.
Mrs. Teves graduated from Newbury College with an associate’s degree in business management. She was employed by the Acushnet Company, Titleist Division, until her retirement in 2000. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and an avid Red Sox fan.
Mrs. Teves is survived by four children, Karen of Fairhaven, William, III, and his longtime companion Carol Katz of Westport, Louisa Sylvia and her husband Jeff, and Peggy Spangler and her husband Jamie, all of Fairhaven; seven grandchildren, Allison, Laura, Hilarie, Samantha, Jeffrey, Jamie and Robyn; a great grandchild, Caden; two sisters, Ruth Feath of St. Johnsbury, VT, and Carol Massarelli of Bristol, CT; as well as several nieces and nephews.
