Cynthia Ann Prescott, 74, longtime resident of North Attleboro, passed away, peacefully at home on Thursday, March 9, 2017.
Cynthia was born in Attleboro and was a daughter of the late Homer J. and Norma M. (Blanchard) Shepard.
Cynthia was a graduate of N. Attleboro High School and was employed as a registered nurse for many years until her retirement. She was an avid lover of all animals and was very active in her church for many years. Cynthia will be remembered as being a kind and generous woman who always had a card for every occasion. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Richard Prescott and his wife Kathleen of N. Attleboro; daughter Laura Prescott of Attleboro; brother’s, Homer J. Shepard, Jr. of N. Attleboro, and Richard Shepard of Attleboro; sister, Norma Jean Shepard of Attleboro; five grandchildren, Aidan, Wyatt, Deven, Colton and Jacob and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late David Shepard.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017, at 11am, in the Centenary United Methodist Church, 39 N. Main St., Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, North Attleboro.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 1-5pm, in the Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 S. Main St., Attleboro.
