SWANSEA – Cynthia A. Gabbour-Carreiro, 53, of Swansea, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007, surrounded by her loved ones. She leaves her twin sons, Jonathan and Christopher Carreiro of Swansea. She was the beloved companion of George Flanagan of Fall River. Cynthia was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late George and Ruth (Shaker) Gabbour. Before devoting her life to raising her twin sons, Cynthia worked for Eastern Edison Company, and later pursued a part- time career in hairstyling. She worked for several nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the area. Cynthia is survived by two sisters, Sheila Brisbon of Little Compton, and Cheryl Conroy of Swansea; three nephews, Nicholas and Matthew Brisbon of Little Compton and William Conroy of Swansea; and a niece, Christine Conroy of Swansea. Funeral InformationHer funeral will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007, at 9:00AM from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a Mass of the Divine Liturgy at 10:00AM in Saint Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 N. Eastern Ave., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
