Dorothy V. (Ollis) Danis

SOMERSET – Dorothy V. (Ollis) Danis, 82, of Somerset, died Sunday, August 24, 2008, at the Clifton Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Somerset. She was the wife of the late Joseph Robert Danis, to whom she was married for fifty-one years. A Somerset resident for the past sixty years, Mrs. Danis was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Leo and Nellie (Buo) Ollis.

Mrs. Danis was a parishioner at Saint Patrick’s Church in Somerset and joyfully served as a volunteer at the Somerset Council on Aging for many years.

She leaves two sons, Robert H. Danis and his wife Kimberly of Schaghticoke, NY, and David L. Danis of Fall River; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at 9:30AM from THE HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Patrick’s Church, 306 South St., Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning from 8:00 to 9:30AM, prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
