ATTLEBORO – Louise B. Wilkie, 88, of Christopher Heights, South Main St., died Friday, September 5, 2008, in the Caritas-Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA. Born in Pawtucket, RI, a daughter of the late George I. and Florence (Jones) Whitman, she was the wife of the late Francis E. Wilkie, who died in March 2004. A resident of Attleboro since 1955, having previously resided in Cumberland, RI, she loved to cook for her family and friends. She had worked in retail sales for the former Ray’s Bakery in Seekonk for fifteen years before she retired. Mrs. Wilkie leaves two sons, Robert B. Wilkie and Wallace D. “Wally” Wilkie, both of Attleboro; and one daughter, Donna L. Wilkie of Portland, Maine; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Nancy Cox and Madeline Kahrman. Funeral InformationRelatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in celebration of her life on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 2:00PM in THE COOK-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 160 Park St. (Route 118), in Attleboro.
