Doris Denis

Doris (Remillard) Denis, age 88, formerly of Privelege St., Woonsocket died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in the Hoilday in Manville, RI. She was the wife of the late Lionel Denis. She was born in Woonsocket on October 23, 1917, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary Jane (Bourget) Remillard.

She was a life long resident of Woonsocket and a communicant of the former St. Louis Church, now the All Saints Church. Doris had worked in Central Supply for the former Woonsocket Hospital, now the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, for twenty-five years before she retired in 1981.

She leaves one granddaughter Nicole P. and her husband David D. Lavoie of Harrisville, RI. She was the mother of the late Pauline Nadeau and the sister of the late Louis, Armand, Wilfred, Gerald and Rene Remillard and Jeanne Cote, Rena Barrette and Lucy Silvester.

Funeral Information

Her Funeral will be held on FRIDAY September 22, 2006 at 8 AM from THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in All Saints Church, 323 Rathbun Street, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the Family Lot in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Wrentham Road in Bellingham, MA. Relatives and friend are invited to attend.
