View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER – Mary Ann (Tarabolski) Ainley, 62, of Fall River, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in Fall River, a devoted daughter of Mary (Ferreira) Tarabolski of Fall River and the late Chester Tarabolski, she was the beloved wife of Joseph M. Ainley, with whom she shared a thirty-nine year marriage.
Mrs. Ainley was employed as an administrative assistant to the Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth for seventeen years, prior to her retirement in November. Previously she held appointments with A T & T in Fairhaven and Providence, RI. She was a graduate of Mt. St. Mary Academy and Fisher College. A communicant of the former St. Louis Parish in Fall River, she was a member of its Women’s Guild and served as a religious educator in their CCD Program. She enjoyed many hobbies and interests.
She was the loving sister of Rebecca Ivanson and her husband Gary of Tiverton, RI, and Janice Romagnolo and her husband Raymond of Assonet, MA; the caring sister-in-law of Marilyn Cabral and her husband Daniel of Fall River and Dennis, MA; the cherished aunt of Stephan, Benjamin, Neal, Whitney, and Brent; and the grandaunt of Tijan.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held Thursday, December 18, 2008, at 8:45AM from THE HATHAWAY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River, with a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Stanislaus Church, 36 Rockland Street, Fall River. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit the family Wednesday, December 17, from 4:00-8:00PM.
