SEEKONK / DIGHTON – Stephen J. Kent, 56, died suddenly in Pawtucket Memorial Hospital Sunday, November 9, 2008, after being stricken ill at his home in Seekonk.

Educated in the Taunton Public Schools, and graduated from Coyle High School, he attended Coyne Electrical School in Boston and was employed as an IBEW Union Electrician in Lakeville. He also worked part time at the Manhiem Auto Auction in Taunton.

A resident of Seekonk for the past three years, he made his home living prior to that in Dighton. He was a past president of the Dighton Lions Club and was a member of the New England Corvette Society. He enjoyed spending time at the Seekonk Speedway and was a fan of the Patriots and Red Sox.

He is survived by his parents, Maurice and Helen (Stone) Kent of Taunton; and his sons, Christopher and Craig Kent of Dighton. He was the fiancé of Joyce Beltrami of Seekonk and the brother of Elizabeth Johnson of New Hampshire. He was also the uncle of Amy and Kelly and a nephew and cousin of several.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Nicholas of Myra Church, North Dighton, Friday, November 14, 2008, at 11:00AM. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, November 13, in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, from 4:00 to 8:00PM.
