Warddell E. Giles

ATTLEBORO – Warddell E. Giles, 75, of Oakhill Avenue, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at home. Born in Attleboro, a son of the late Warddell A. & Lillian B. (Smith) Giles, he was the husband of Lois I. (Lovejoy) Giles.

A fifty year resident of Attleboro, having come originally from Rehoboth, Mr. Giles was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He worked as a machine operator for the Robbins Company for over ten years, and was also a driver for special needs children for more than seven years. He loved to spend time with his Yorkshire Terrier “Coco”, liked birds, collected coins, and enjoyed fishing and nature.

Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Timothy E. Giles of Spring Hill, Florida; two daughters, Debra Giles of Attleboro and Cynthia Silveira of Pawtucket, RI; two sisters, Thelma Allard of Attleboro and Carolyn Grant of Taunton; five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

His funeral service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 9:00AM in the COOK – HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 160 Park St., Attleboro, MA; burial will follow in the Newell Burying Ground, Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be Friday, June 12, from 4:00–7:00PM in the funeral home.
