Isabel (Braga) Resendes

TAUNTON – Isabel (Braga) Resendes, 49, died at her home Tuesday, March 18, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Born in St. Miguel, Azores, the daughter of Manuel and Biatriz (Medeiros) Braga of Taunton, she was the wife of Angelo Resendes.

Educated in St. Miguel, and a resident of Taunton since 1981, for the past fifteen years she was employed as an assembly worker for the Sun Burst Electronic Company in Bridgewater. She was a communicant of St Anthony’s Church. She enjoyed singing, dancing and going to the beach.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Resendes leaves a daughter, Jennifer Leandres and her husband John of Taunton; and a son, Sandy Resendes of Taunton. She was the grandmother of Kyle and Briahna Leandres of Taunton; and the sister of Berta Couto of Canada; Dina Tome, Teresa Rocha, Lucia Couto, all of Taunton; Nelia Rodella of Lakeville; Manuel Braga, Paul Braga of Taunton; Dealino Braga of Berkley; and Rui Braga of Florida. She was the sister-in-law, aunt and cousin of several.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral from THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Monday, March 24, 2008, at 9:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Anthony’s Church at 10:00AM. Interment will follow the Burial Rite in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visiting hours be held Easter Sunday afternoon and evening from 4:00-8:00PM.
