Joseph L. Beaulieu

Joseph L. Beaulieu, 85, of St. Joseph St., Woonsocket, died Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. He was the husband of 59 years of Gertrude L. (Malo) Beaulieu.

Born on September 20, 1920, in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Willie and Lena (Paquette) Beaulieu. He was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life. He resided in Lincoln for several years.

Mr. Beaulieu served in the United Sates Navy during WWII. He was a Petty officer 1st Class and served in both the European and Pacific Theater on the LST ships.
He worked as an electrician for Electric Maintenance Co. in Woonsocket for 52 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1029 and later Local 99.

He was a longtime communicant of St. Charles Church in Woonsocket. He enjoyed woodworking and making a variety of crafts. Mr. Beaulieu volunteered many hours helping patients at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home and later at the Mount St. Francis Health Center where he resided with his wife.

Mr. Beaulieu will be remembered for his cheerful spirit, and willingness to give of himself to others, even when he was challenged by blindness.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Suzanne Bibeault, of Woonsocket, Diane Reynolds, of Cumberland, Paulette Paux, of Ft. Meyers, Florida, and Jacqueline Brillon, of Manville. 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Lucien W. Beaulieu, of Woonsocket, and Lucille Felice, of Woonsocket. He was the brother of the late Armand B. Beaulieu, who was killed in action in 1944, during WWII, in Europe.

Funeral Information

His Memorial Mass will be Friday, Decembr 16, 2005 at 10:00 am in St. Charles Church, North Main St., Woonsocket. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Arrangements are by THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket.
