Robert E. Salisbury age 82 of Poplar St. Woonsocket died Wednesday, January 11, 2006 in the Evergreen Health Center in East Providence. He was the former husband of the late Edna (Kelly) Salisbury and the husband of the late Katherine (Murphy) Salisbury. He was born in Attleboro, MA on December 20, 1923 a son of the late Charles H. and Mary A. (Card) Salisbury. He had lived in Woonsocket for the past four years having previously lived in the Attleboro and Norton area. He had served with the US Army in Northern France and the Rhineland and was awarded the European African Middle East Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Battle Stars. Mr. Salisbury was a life member of the Eugene T. LeFebvre Pos #1271 VFW in Central Falls. He was an avid sport fan and NASCAR enthusiast. He had been a Chef at Wheaton College in Norton and the Ted Williams Summer Baseball Camp in Lakeville, MA for many years before retiring in 1969. He leaves one daughter Nancy J. Pereira of Barrington, RI and one step daughter Marcella Lindberg of Pawtucket. Three brothers Roland Salisbury of Pawtucket, Chester A. Salisbury of Jensen Beach, FL and Lester B. Salisbury of Attleboro. Two sisters Edith M. Figuerado and Ruth Dufresne both of East Providence. Four Grandchildren and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Robert Salisbury, Edward and Richard Marien and the brother of the late Clinton, Kenneth, Donald and Richard Salisbury.
