Allen H. David

EAST TAUNTON – Allen H. David, 83, died on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, in the Island Terrace Nursing Home, Lakeville, following a period of failing health. Born in Taunton, a son of the late Sandy and Ruth (Higgins) David, he was a graduate of Taunton High School Class of 1941.

Mr. David served in the U. S. Coast Guard during WW II. He was a designer for the Foxboro Company for more than thirty years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Weir Senior Citizens and the Taunton YMCA.

He was the husband of the late Margaret (Adams) David; and the father of Douglas David and his wife Dawn of Assonet; the grandfather of Tammy David of East Taunton and Timothy David of Assonet; and the great-grandfather of Nathan David of East Taunton. He was the brother of Howard David and Charles David of Taunton and the late Paulina, Nancy and Louise David.

Funeral Information

A Memorial Service will be held in the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at 7:00PM. His family will be receiving friends from 6:00 to 7:00PM prior to the service.
