Wilfred August L'Heureux 82, of 490 Kaufman Road, Somerset died Friday, March 10, 2005 at Saint Anne's Hospital he was the husband of the late Lucille E. (De Pontbriand). Born September 27, 1923 in Fall River, MA he was the son of the late Wilfred P. and Amelia (Deveaux) L'Heureux. Mr. L'Heureux had been the manager at the Somerset Drive-In for thirty two years and also worked as a color mixer for twenty five years for Riveredge screen printing in Fall River. A World War II Navy Veteran he served on they USS Argonne and the USS Radford He had survived Pearl Harbor and was awarded various medals including the World War II Victory Medal, American Theater Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal, Presidential Unit Citation Medal, and the Phillippines Liberation Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post #303 Swansea, Saint Thomas More Retirees, Vice President of the Swansea Town Council on aging, the AARP Somerset Chapter Retirees Club where he served as Treasurer and the Pearl Harbor Survivors of Boston, MA. He is survived by two sons, Donald and Michael L'Heureux of Somerset, MA; two brothers Donald L'Heureux of Palm Bay, Florida and Gilbert L'Heureux of Fall River, MA; six grandchildren and 2 great grand children. Funeral InformationHis funeral will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 8:30 am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA to be followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am in Saint Anne's Church, 818 Middle Street, Fall River. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home Donations Information
