View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER – Glen Edward Kershaw, 72, of Rodman St., Fall River, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at the Crawford Skilled Nursing Home in Fall River. Born in Fall River, a son of the late William & Theresa (Heywood) Kershaw, he was the husband of Helen (Farias) Kershaw.
A veteran of the U. S. Air Force, who served his country during the Korean conflict, Mr. Kershaw worked for the Simmons Jewelry Co. of Attleboro, and the former Newport Finishing as a biller, and prior to becoming disabled, he was a time-study analyst.
A lifelong Fall River resident, he was a parishioner of St Joseph Church. He was the former chairperson for the Parents Advisory Council for Special Needs for the Fall River Public School System. He was a former Literacy Volunteer for the main branch of Fall River Library, as well as a stamp collector and coin collector.
Besides his wife, Mr. Kershaw is survived by two sons, Kenneth C. Kershaw and Kevin M. Kerhsaw, both of Fall River; and two daughters, Kimberly Grothe and Karen Kershaw, both of Fall River; two brothers, Randy Kershaw, James Kershaw, both of Somerset; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William Kershaw and Carol Heap.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008, at 8:30AM from THE HATHAWAY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 1335 North Main St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. His family welcomes visitors from 8:30-9:30AM Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the Mass.
