Ann J. (Wheatley) Marois

FALL RIVER – Ann J. (Wheatley) Marois, 70, of Fall River, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at the Southeastern MA Health & Rehab Center in New Bedford. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late John T. and Helen V. (Michalewich) Wheatley, she was the wife of the late William F. Marois.

A 1957 graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Mrs. Marois devoted her life to raising her family. Ann was a former leader of the local 4H club. She enjoyed sewing and going to flea markets.

She leaves a daughter, Maryann C. Martel and her husband William of Fall River; two sons, Timothy J. Marois of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Jonathon Marois of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Mary Ivens of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Martha Dupree of Sebring, FL; an aunt and uncle, Wanda and Walter Sunderland of Assonet, MA; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Cheryl R. Marois, William F. Marois, Jr., and Patrick J. Marois.

Funeral Information

A prayer service will be held Monday, June 22, 2009, at 10:00AM in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will take place Sunday, June 21, from 3:00-6:00PM in the funeral home.
