LAKEVILLE – John J. Kelley, 35, died at his home Friday, May 29, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Taunton, the son of Stanley and Sandra (Strickland) Kelley, educated in Apponequet Regional High School and was employed at the time of his becoming ill as a warehouse man at the Stop and Shop Warehouse in Assonet.

John enjoyed playing videos and using his computer. He attended the Myricks United Methodist Church. He is survived by his parents and his brothers, Christopher and Tessa Kelley of Assonet and Robert Kelley and his companion Jessica Voltz of Lakeville. John was the uncle of Samantha and Christopher Kelley of Assonet. He was the grandson of Sarah Strickland of Lakeville and the late George Strickland, and Charles and Mildred Kelley. John was also a nephew and cousin to many.

Funeral Information

His funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held in the Myricks United Methodist Church, 193 Myricks Street, Berkley, (Route 79), MA, Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Assonet Burying Grounds, Assonet. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, June 2, from 4:00-8:00 PM in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton.
