View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER – Rose M. (Siciliano) Leary, 91, of Highland Avenue, Fall River, died Friday, February 26, 2010, at the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Salvadore & Concetta (D’Ambrosio) Siciliano, and the stepdaughter of the late Antonio Margaletta, she was the wife of the late William A. Leary.
Rose, a lifelong Fall River resident, was employed as a seamstress, a nurses aide, and also a teacher’s aide at the Highland School in Fall River. She was also a homemaker. Mrs. Leary, a parishioner of the former Holy Rosary Church, served on the Holy Rosary Women’s Guild. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Italian American War Veterans, the Sons of Italy.
Mrs. Leary is survived by two sons, William D. Leary of Fall River and Brian J. Leary of Little Compton, RI; a daughter, Judith A LeFebvre of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Little Compton, RI; a brother, Joseph Margaletta of Fairhaven, MA; and a sister, Mary Azevedo of Westport, MA. She was the grandmother of six and the great-grandmother of six. She was the sister of the late Michael Margaletta, Carmela Carvalho, and also the late Frances McGuire.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 9:30am in the Margaret Mary Chapel of the Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Avenue, Fall River, with burial to follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River.
