View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER – Arthur J. Marquis, Jr., 42, of Lapham Street, Fall River, died on Thursday, August 16, 2007, at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. Born in Newport, RI, a son of Susan (Munroe) Tonry and the late Arthur J. Marquis, he graduated with the Class of 1984 from Apponequet Regional High School in Lakeville.
Mr. Marquis was a self employed salesman for many years. He was a Fall River resident most of his life, having been raised in Assonet. He was an avid music collector, being a D.J., playing cards, in particular Texas Hold ‘Em, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his mother and two brothers, Brian E. Marquis of Rehoboth and Christopher Shaughnessy of East Providence, RI; two sisters, Wendy Marquis of Fall River and Heidi Burgers of Taunton; three nieces and a great-nephew. He also leaves his best and closest friends, Raymond Cavara and Karl Duclos, both of Fall River, in addition to several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was also the cousin of the late Anne Connolly, Donald Kidd, and Matthew Munroe.
Funeral Information
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at 10:00AM in the HATHAWAY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4:00–8:00PM. Burial will be private.
