Noemia (Cabral) Ray

Noemia (Cabral) Ray, 91, of Somerset, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Frank L. Ray Jr.
Noemia was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Manuel and Alexandria (Paiva) Cabral. Mrs. Ray worked as as a store clerk at Cherry & Webb Department Store, in Fall River, for over twenty-five years, retiring many years. She was a communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Church, in Swansea. Noemia was a founding member of the Somerset Friends of Music. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, camping and getting together with her family during the holidays.
Survivors are two sons: Frank L. Ray III and his wife Wendy of Westport; and David Ray and his wife Patricia of Rehoboth; three grandchildren: Brandon, Kyle and Frank IV; and a great-grandson: Jayden; a sister: Dolores Souza of Fall River; a brother: Manuel Cabral of Somerset; along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Souza and Sister Emmanuel D.H.S.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 8am to 9am in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton Street, Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
