MILLVILLE – Robert L. Foley, 77, of Meaghan Way, Millville, and formerly of Southview Drive, Attleboro, died Thursday, August 6, 2009. Born in Attleboro, a son of the late Walter J. & Julia Agnes (Hoye) Foley, Sr., he was the husband of the late Margaret M. (Allshire) Foley.

Mr. Foley, a lifelong resident of Attleboro and parishioner at St. Stephen’s Church, he was employed as an engineering aide at Texas Instruments for more than thirty-three years, before retiring in 1991. He was a U. S. Navy veteran who served as a radio mechanic. He was a member of the United States Navy Cruiser Association, the USS Salem Association, and an avid woodworker.

Mr. Foley is survived by three sons, Stephen M. Foley of Attleboro, Timothy and his wife Lynn Foley of Millville, MA, and Christopher and his wife Mary Foley of North Attleboro; a daughter, Susan J. Foley of Millville; and a brother, David J. Foley and his wife Claire of Attleboro. He was the grandfather of Derik, Corey, Heather, Mitchell, Erin, Neil and Anna. He also left many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Walter J. Foley, Jr., Michael E. Foley, James A. Foley, and Lawrence J. Foley.

Funeral Information

His funeral will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at 9:00AM from THE FOLEY - HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 South Main Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Stephen’s Church, 683 South Main St., Attleboro. Burial with full military honours will follow the funeral Mass in St. John’s Cemetery, West St., Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be Monday, August 10, from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home.
