View Tribute and Sign Guestbook George H. Westgate,Jr. died Wednesday night at Morton Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Taunton to the late George and Evelyn (Jones) Westgate, he was 53 years old. Educated in Taunton schools he was employed by Stern- Leach in Attleboro as a maintenance man. He was formerly employed by Gloves, Inc of Taunton for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He is the husband of Nancy (Meade) Westgate and father of George Westgate, III and his wife Cristina Westgate and grandfather of Lianna and Kailey Westgate all of Taunton; and also father of the late Michael Gonzales and Norris Westgate. Brother of Ellis Flint of Assonet, Lawrence Flint of Berkley, Marion Pimental, Marilyn Westgate, Gloria Reynolds and Linda Sproul all of Taunton. Evelyn Reynolds and Elaine Jones of East Taunton, Susan Westgate of New Bedford and the late Sandra Flint; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave.,(Route 138 South) Taunton on Saturday at 11AM. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-7PM. Interment Assonet Burying Grounds, Assonet.
