View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER, MA – Alma M. (Goulet) Parent, 91, of Fall River, died Thursday, July 1, 2010, at the Southpointe Nursing Facility in Fall River, surrounded by her family. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Francois A. and Marie B. (Gelinas) Goulet, she was the wife of the late Ludger Parent.
She devoted her life to raising her family and was a communicant of Saint Anne’s Parish in Fall River. Mrs. Parent enjoyed knitting, making baby outfits and the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Pauline A. O’Neill and her husband Robert of Tiverton, RI; a son, Robert D. Parent and his wife Patricia of Ossipee, NH; six grandchildren, Kathleen O’Neill, Ellen O’Neill, Carl Parent, Keith Parent, Magon Parent and Robert Parent, Jr. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews, and the sister of the late Cecile Soares, Gabrielle Martin, Vivian Goulet, Pauline Magnan, and Paul, Albert, Joseph and Alfred Goulet.

Calling hours for Mrs. Parent will be held Saturday, July 3, 2010, from 8:00-9:00 am in the HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Anne’s Church, South Main St., Fall River, with burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
