Shirley (Gorde) Esterkes

ATTLEBORO – Shirley Esterkes, 83, of Colonial Drive, Westborough, formerly of Mendon Road, South Attleboro, died Monday, March 10, 2008, in the Westborough Health Care Center, Westboro, MA. Born in Phildelphia, a daughter of the late Louis and Zaza (Berry) Gorde, she was the wife of the late Herbert Esterkes.

A resident of Westborough since September, having lived most of her life in Attleboro, she was an avid reader who enjoyed arts and crafts and enjoyed playing Bingo.

Mrs. Esterkes leaves one daughter, Diane R. and her husband Anthony Willoughby of Mendon, MA; two brothers, Robert King of El Mirage, AZ, and Jeffrey King of Visalia, CA; one sister, Ary King of Santa Cruz, CA; and two grandchildren, Joseph A. and Andrew D. Willoughby. She was the sister of the late Linda King.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held Friday, March 14, 2008, at 11:00AM in THE FOLEY-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 South Main St. (Route 152), in Attleboro. Burial will follow at 1:15PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may visit with the family from 10:00 to 11:00AM before the service.
