View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Charles J. Anastasi, 73 , of Thacher St., Attleboro, died Sunday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Annette (Bonanno) Anastasi. Born February 5, 1933 in Boston, he was a son the late Carmelo & Santa ( Ficarra) Anastasi.
He was a Motorcycle Patrolman for the Boston Police Department for 17 years before retiring in 1981. He was a member of the US Army for 2 years. He has lived in Attleboro for 19 years coming from Boston.
He was a parishioner at St Joseph Church where he sang in the choir, he was a member of the Boston Retirees Police Organization, member of the Blue Knights, was active in Theatre, member of the Norton Singers, enjoyed doing carpentry, liked doing electrical repairs, loved to cook, enjoyed watching the New England Patriots, enjoyed listening to Classical music .
Besides his wife he is survived by 4 sons John Anastasi of North Attleboro, David Anastasi of Attleboro, Mark Anastasi of North Attleboro, Stephen Anastasi of North Attleboro, 3 daughters Roberta O'Melia of Seekonk, Denise Anastasi of Attleboro, Christina Anastasi of Attleboro. A brother Joseph Anastasi of Brockton, 2 sisters Jenny Dino of Warwick RI, Ann Rideout of Stoughton MA. He also leaves 8 grandchildren.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00am from the FOLEY - HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 S. MAIN ST., ATTLEBORO, MA, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Joseph Church, 208 South Main St Attleboro, burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery Roslindale MA. Calling hours Wednesday from 4 - 8pm.
