Ronald G. Beaudoin., 69, of Bassett Street in Rochester passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of twenty-nine years to Evangeline “Vangie” (Roy) Beaudoin. Mr. Beaudoin was born in New Bedford, MA on May 17, 1937 the son of Amelia “Nellie” (Vieira) DeMello of south Dartmouth, Ma and the late Leopold G. Beaudoin, he was a graduate of New Bedford High School, he served his county with the United States Marines, and went to work as a firefighter for the City of New Bedford for fifteen years before retiring in 1983. He was a lifetime member of the Wareham Lodge of Elks 1548, International Association of Firefighters, Whaling City and Reservation Country Club, also enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling. Survivors beside his wife and mother are two daughters Christina M. Hochhauser of New Rochelle, NY Jennifer E. LaFontaine of Charlotte, NC two sons Christopher Beaudoin of Astoria, New York Shaun P. Beaudoin of Charlotte, NC a stepson John J. Borden of Yorktown, Virginia a sister Patricia Motta of New Bedford, MA two brothers Robert Beaudoin of North Dartmouth, MA and Gerald Beaudoin of New Bedford, MA four grandchildren Haley, Olivia, Alyshia, and Shelby, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral InformationHis funeral will be held on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 9am from the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven, MA followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Joseph Church Fairhaven. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow with MILITARY HONORS in Riverside Cemetery Fairhaven. Calling hours with video photo album are Sunday, May 21, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9.
