View Tribute and Sign Guestbook NEW BEDFORD – Richard A. Rioux, 38, of Acushnet Ave., New Bedford, died Friday, November 28, 2008, at the New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital. Born in Fall River, a son of Constance (Souza) Rioux and the late Gerard E. Rioux, he was a lifelong Fall River resident, formerly of Raymond St., where he enjoyed writing poetry and novels, reading and writing.
A graduate with the Class of 1988 of the English High School in Lynn, MA, Mr. Rioux was a movie buff, who spent many hours using a computer which he loved very much. He was a huge Britney Spears fan, where he had collected pictures and posters anything he could find with Britney Spears on it.
In addition to his mother, Constance (Souza) Rioux of Fall River, two brothers, Bryan E. Rioux of Fall River and Michael Rioux of Methuen (MA); three sisters, Darlene Herrick, Constance Paige, Cheryl Gardner, all of Fall River, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Glen Rioux.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 5, 2008, at 10:00AM in Notre Dame Church, Eastern Avenue, Fall River, with burial to follow in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton, RI.
