Dorothy L. Mahoney

ROSLINDALE – Dorothy L. (Colvin) Mahoney, 74, of Poplar Street, Roslindale, MA, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, in the Tibbet House in Needham, MA. Born in the Dorchester section of Boston on May 2, 1932, a daughter of the late Edward and Marion (Trites) Colvin, she was the loving wife of twelve years of Timothy W. Mahoney.

Mrs. Mahoney lived in Roslindale for the past twelve years, having previously resided in Attleboro for sixty-two years. She graduated from Attleboro High School and Bunker Hill Community College with an Associates Degree and had attended the Briman Medical School. She was employed as a receptionist at the Gray, Gray & Gray Accounting Company in Boston, and later was a census taker for the Boston Board of Elections prior to her retirement.

Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, Gregory J. and his wife Corrine Kupstas of Galesburg, MI, Dean E. Kupstas of Boston, Sean Bonney of Baltimore, MD, and Joseph and his wife Michelle Mazzone of Rehoboth, MA; one daughter, Lisa A. Kupstas of Boston; six grandchildren, Edward, Ana, Joel, Lydia, Meredith and Katherine; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

A prayer service, officiated by the Rev. Richard Roy, will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at 11:00AM in THE FOLEY-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 South Main St. (Route 152), in Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may visit with the family from 10:00 to 11:00AM prior to the service. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, West St., in Attleboro.
