Mary D. Laranjo

TAUNTON–Mary D. Laranjo, 72, died in her home Monday, November 16, 2009, after a period of failing health. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Lima) Laranjo.

Mrs. Laranjo was educated in the Taunton Public Schools and was a caretaker for her family. She loved her dogs.

She was the mother of Randall J. “Randy” Laranjo and Russell J. Laranjo and his wife Penny, all of Taunton. She was the grandmother of Joshua Laranjo and his fiancé Magean Julio of Taunton and Brandii Souza of Fall River; and the great-grandmother of Christian Souza of Taunton. Mary was the sister of Dephin and John Cunha of Taunton, Frank and Jo-Anne Laranjo and Edward and Joan Laranjo, all of California, Jerry and Janice Laranjo of Taunton, Albert and Lucy Laranjo of Florida, and the Joseph Laranjo. She was the sister-in-law of Elizabeth Laranjo of Taunton, as well as the aunt of several.

Funeral Information

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, November 19, 2009, from 4:00-8:00PM in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, which is in charge of the arrangements. A graveside interment service will be held in Mayflower Hill Cemetery Friday, November 20, at 11:00AM.
