View Tribute and Sign Guestbook June E. (Mayo) Allcock, 72, of Portsmouth, RI died Sunday, August 6, 2006 unexpectedly at home. She was the wife of Everett M. Allcock. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Irving and the late Jessie (Walkden) Mayo, she lived most of her life in Swansea before moving to Portsmouth 11 years ago.
Mrs. Allcock worked for Chase Leather Co. for 19 years before her retirement in 2000. She loved to dance and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Atlantic City.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Robert Bumpus of Cape Coral, FL, Ronald Bumpus of Portsmouth, RI and Richard Bumpus of Warwick, RI; two daughters, Linda Rodrigues and Susan Cabral both of Fall River; a brother Irving Mayo, III formerly of Swansea; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Allcock was the sister of the late Helen Shea.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., SOMERSET followed by interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
