View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Robert W.MacGlashing,Jr, 82 years of Taunton, died on September 17, 2005 in Morton Hospital, Taunton after a brief illness. Born in Taunton, son of the late Robert and Irene (Appleton) MacGlasing.
He was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1941, and a member of the Corps of Cadets and the Band. WW Veteran of the US Army he served in Europe, receiving the European African Middle Eastern Theather Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal. He is a retired Lineman for the New England Tel and Tel Co and NYNEX. A member of First Parish Church in Taunton, where he was a member of the Church Bowling Team, a member of King David Lodge AF and AM Lodge of Masons in Taunton, he was a member of the telephone pioneers, and Bell Telephone Retirees.
He was the husband of the late Ella Jane (Pepler) MacGlashing and father of Daniel MacGlashing of MI, Karen Ives and her husband Richard of Berkley and East Falmouth and Linda Orcicut of West Falmouth; grandfather of six and great grandfather of four, cousin of Judith Shippee of Raynham and Warren O’Brien of West palm Beach, FL.
Funeral Information
A Memorial Service will be held in the First Parish Church, Church Green, Taunton on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 11AM.
