Florence I. Rigby

January 16, 1917 - September 18, 2005

Florence I. Rigby., 88, of North Main Street in Fall River passed away Sunday, September 18, 2005 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in Fall River, MA on January 16, 1917 the daughter of the late William and Albina (LeBlanc) Rigby.

She worked as an assembler at the former Firestone Tire & Rubber Company, and later as a sales clerk at the former RA McWhirr department store. She was devoted to the cause to have Marie “Little” Rose Ferron beatified.

Survivors are a son, Albert S. Francoeur of Fall River, MA five sisters Ethel “Pat” Porter of Ft. Lauderdale, FL Evelyn Wilbur Mesa, Arizona Barbara Connell of Hendersen, Nevada Veronica “Ronnie” Anger of Westport, MA Doris Glenday of Fall River, MA two brothers William Rigby Jr. of Fairhaven, MA Warren Rigby of Fall River, MA two grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norman Rigby.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 10:30am in Saint Mary Cathedral 327 Spring St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery Fall River. All arrangements are with the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA.
