Doris M. Jones

Doris M.(Cummings) Jones, 77  years old, died on Sunday September 11, 2005 in Morton Hospital after being taken there by ambulance.  Born in Taunton, daughter of the late Carlton and  Victoria (Trond) Cummings.  

She lived all her life in Berkley, attended Berkley Congreational Church where she was active as the Past Pres. and now Vice Pres of the Ladies Sewing Circle of the church. She is the long time treasurer of Happy Hearts Senior Citizens of Berkley. She formerly worked as a bookkeeper for Interstate Transportation Bus Co. in Taunton and for the former Golden Pheasant Restaurant in Berkley.

She is the widow of Edwin D. Jones,Jr and mother of Linda Matteson and her husband Stuart of Berkley, Bradford Jones and his wife Stacy of Berkley and Brian Jones of Taunton, grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 2; sister of Shirley Beltsios of Taunton and aunt of several.

Funeral Information

Visiting hours are on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 from 5-8pm in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave (Route 138 South) Taunton. Her funeral service will be on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at 10:30AM in the Berkley Congreational Church, 13 South Main St. Berkley.  Interment will be in Mass National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:45PM.
