Ursula Novia

Ursula (Januario) Novia, 89, of New Bedford died Friday, August 26, 2005 in Hathaway Manor after a long illness. She was the widow of Angelo Novia. Born July 16, 1916 in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ursula (Baptista), she in New Bedford all her life.

Mrs. Novia was a Sample Maker and stitcher for Riverside Manufacturing, Company for 47 years. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and especially spending time with her daughters.

She is survived by four daughters, Shirley O’Connell of Virginia, Nancy Costollo and her husband Verne of Dartmouth, Priscilla Campos of New Bedford, and Elizabeth Joseph of Dartmouth; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary Pacheco, Frances Brazil, and Joseph Januario and the mother of the late Angelo Novia, Jr.

Funeral Information

Her graveside service and interment will be Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 11:00 AM in St. John’s Cemetery, New Bedford. Arrangements are by the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven.
