Jeanne E. (Gravel) Carpentier age 91 of Sayles Hill Avenue, Lincoln, formerly of Greene St. Woonsocket died Monday, August 22, 2005 in the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Raphael Carpentier. She was born in Quebec, Canada on July 28, 1914 a daughter of the late Isarael and Victoria (Charbonneau) Gravel. She had lived in Lincoln for the past eighteen months having previously lived in Woonsocket most of her life where she was a communicant of the Precious Blood Church. She had worked in the Blackstone Cotton Mills for 30 years and later was a Nurse’s Aide for eight years at Hospice St. Antoine in North Smithfiled until retiring in 1985. She had been a member of the Seniors Groups at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, St. Agatha’s and St. Joseph’s Churches and a member of the Chateau Clare Manor Club. She leaves one son Richard J. and his wife Barbara A. Carpentier of Medway, MA. Eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and her daughter in law Patricia A. Carpentier of Houston, TX. She was the sister of the late Tony, Sylvio, Edgar, Normand and Flore Gravel, Irene LeMay and Lorraine Cormier. Funeral InformationHer Funeral will be held on Friday, August 26, 2005 at 9 AM from The Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket. At 10 AM. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. John Cemetery, Slatersville, RI Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours are Thursday, August 26, 2005 from 5 to 7 PM. |
