Mary Ann (Salvas) Allard age 92 of Grant St. Attleboro died Thursday, August 18, 2005 in the Ridgewood Court Nursing Home in Attleboro. She was  the  wife  of the late  Axzarias Allard. Born in Montreal Quebec, Canada on December 4, 1912 a daughter of the late Jean B. and  Exilia  (Paul) Salvas, she had lived in Attleboro since 1918  having  previously lived in Woonsocket, RI.  

She was a communicant of St. Stephen’s Church in Attleboro. Mrs. Allard had been a machine operator for the Marathon Co. of Attleboro  for several years  until retiring in 1973.

She leaves  one son  Phillip  Allard of Attleboro and  one  brother  Gerard  Salvas  of Attleboro. Three sisters  Cecile  Allard of Attleboro, Germaine  Bessette  of  North Smithfiled, RI and  Bernadette Uhnak  of Port St. Lucie, FL. Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and  several nieces and nephews. She was  the  mother of the late Anita L. Horne and  William A. Allard,Sr. and the sister of the late Joseph, Lucien and Arthur Salvas.

Funeral Information

Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at 10 AM from THE FOLEY CHAPEL of the FOLEY-COOK-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOMES,  126 South Main St. (Route 152) Attleboro. A mass of  Christian Burial  celebrated  by the Rev. James  Morse  will follow in St. Stephen’s Church, 683 South Main St. in the Village of  Dodgeville in Attleboro. Relatives and friends  are invited to attend and may visit  in the FOLEY  CHAPEL from 10 to 11 AM before Mass. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Stephen’s  Cemetery.
