Richard F. Ramunno

June 18, 1948 - August 13, 2005

Richard F. Ramunno, 57 of Barnes Street died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at home. He was the former husband of Shelley (Barboz) Carreiro. He was born in Fall River on June 18, 1948 a son of Winifred (Moule) and the late Bruno J. Ramunno.

Mr. Ramunno was a maintenance worker for the Tiverton School Department for the last five years. He was a Fall Rive resident most of his life, having also lived in Tiverton for at least 18 years. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church Fall River, he was a NASCAR collector, and also a Harley – Davidson Enthusiast. He also was the owner of the former R&S Automotive in Fall River, which he ran for 20 years.

He is survived by his mother Winifred (Moule) of Fall River, his former wife Shelley (Barboza) Carreiro of Tiverton a daughter Ashley Lynne Ramunno of Tiverton , A son Jared R. Ramunno of Tiverton RI, a sister Rosemary Brabant of Fall River, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

His funeral will be held Thursday, August 18, 2005 at 9:00am from the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Holy Rosary Church Beattie Street Fall River, Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, August 17, 2005 from 5 –8pm.
