John Evans Sr.

June 08, 1912 - June 24, 2005

John Evans  Sr.  age 93  formerly of Orchard  Lane, Attleboro died Friday, June 24, 2005 in the Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was  the  husband of the late  Doris V. (Kinder) Evans. He was  born in  Magog, Quebec, Canada on June 8, 1912  a son of the late  John  and  Clara (Lawton) Evans.

He had  lived in Attleboro for the past  42 years  having previously lived in Mansfield, MA. He was  a  Machine operator for the former Mansfield  Bleachery Company for several years before  retiring in 1964.

He leaves  two sons  John Evans, Jr. of  Attleboro and  James  Evans  of Sarasota, FL. Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was  the  brother of the late Ada Haymen, Elsie Trenholm, Florence Sinclair, Alice Daggett, Maude, Frank and  Ernest  Evans.

Funeral Information

His  Funeral  will be  held on Monday, June 27, 2005 at  9 AM from  The Foley Chapel of the FOLEY-COOK-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOMES,  126  South  Main St.  (Route) 152, Attleboro. A Mass of  Christian Burial will follow at  10 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 208 South Main Street, Attleboro.  Burial  will follow in  the Knollwood  Memorial  Park in Canton, MA.
