Raymond A. Kowalski., 78, of Fatima Drive in Somerset passed on Friday June 24, 2005 at Clifton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Somerset he was the husband of fifty three years to Joan (Gwiazdowski) Kowalski. Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania on February 11, 1927 the son of the late William and Kathryn (Luschinsky) Kowalski, he was a graduate of JW Cooper High school in Shenandoah, PA High school class of 1944 he then served his country during WWII with the United States Navy, after the war he attended and graduated from Penn State University with a bachelors degree in industrial engineering in 1950. He worked for Minneapolis Honeywell Company as an industrial engineer in Philadelphia, he then worked for in Toledo for the George H. Elliott Consulting firm and then back to Honeywell company in Fall River, then onto Gillette Anderson Company in Boston, then Metalized Ceramics in Providence, Kenney Manufacturing in Warwick, Pawtucket memorial hospital, and the Naval Base in Newport. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Somerset, past little league coach in Somerset, Conservation board member in Somerset, Toastmasters, past president of Somerset Sports boosters, and a member of Blessed Trinity Church in Fall River and was very active in the church. Survivors beside his wife are three sons Raymond Kowalski of East Taunton, MA Robert Kowalski of Norcross, Georgia Richard Kowalski of North Dighton, MA a brother Vincent Kowalski of Shenandoah, PA four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Francis Kowalski Funeral InformationHis funeral will be held on Monday, June 27, 2005 at 8:45am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA followed by a funeral mass at 10am in the Blessed Trinity Church Plymouth Ave., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial is private and flowers are omitted. Calling hours are Sunday, June 26, 2005 from 4-7pm. Donations Information
