"Mo" Pavao., 70, of Quental Street in Somerset - for many years - passed away at Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA on June 19, 2005 after a long illness. She was the wife of fifty years to the late Raymond Pavao. She was born in Fall River, MA on June 23, 1934, the daughter of the late Frederick A. and Theresa I. (Powers) Peckham.
Mrs. Pavao was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1953, she then worked as a bookkeeper in the Garment industry in Fall River for forty years, and also for Star Fashions and the Fashion Center on Weaver St - also as a bookkeeper. She was well know with many of her friends for her arts & crafts and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors are a sister Pauline M. Camara of Tiverton, RI, two nieces and five nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Theresa V. Bernier.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 12 Noon in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours with video photo album are on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 from 5-8pm.
