Harry J. Titmas age 88 of Marion St. Rehoboth, MA died Saturday, June 11, 2005 in the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Mary A. (Smith) Titmas and the Companion of Phyllis Francis of Rehoboth. He was born in Barrington, RI on December 9, 1916 a son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Schultz) Titmas.

He had lived in Rehoboth since 1966 previously residing in Attleboro and Newton, MA. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Seekonk. He was a member of the Rehoboth Senior Citizens Club an Avid reader and avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan and an avid Golfer and member of the Wading River Golf Club in Norton and a History Buff. He was a manager for the REA Express and later Amtrak for over 40 years before retiring in 1977. After retiring he drove a School Bus for the City of Attleboro.

Besides his companion he leaves one son John W. Titmas of Pocasset, MA and three daughters Sheila A. Morin of Rehoboth Joan W. Haggerty of Norton and Sharon M. Troynak of Cape Cod. Nine grandchildren and Eight Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the Grandfather of the late Rob Haggerty,Jr. and the brother of the late John W. Titmas.

Funeral Information

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 9 AM from "THE FOLEY CHAPEL" of the FOLEY-COOK-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 South Main St. (Route 152) Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Mary’s Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk. Burial will be in the Family Lot in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Rehoboth. Relatives and friend are invited to attend Calling Hours in the "FOLEY CHAPEL" on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 from 7 to 9 PM.
