Doris V. (Ducharme) Cooper age 87 formerly of Flat St. Cumberland died Saturday, June 11, 2005 in the Friendly Home in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Arthur R. Cooper. She was born in the Village of Manville in Lincoln on November 3, 1917 a daughter of the late Arthur and Alma (Cournoyer) Ducharme.

She had lived in Woonsocket for the past five years having previously lived in Cumberland and Deltona, FL. She was a communicant of St. James Church in Manville and a member of the Riverside Village Tenents Association. Mrs. Cooper was a Sectional Manager for the former W.T. Grant Department Stores for ten years before she retired in 1979.

She leaves several nieces and nephews including Annette Pandiscio of Fitchburg, MA and Lorraine Powell of Orland, Maine her caregivers. She was the sister of the late Normand, Robert, Alfred and Violette Ducharme, Laurette Cote and Catherine Baxter.

Funeral Information

Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 9:30 AM from THE MENARD FUNERAL HOME, 71 Central St. Manville. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. James Church, Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, One Rhode Island Avenue, Johnston, RI. Calling hours are from 9:30 to 11 AM before Mass.
