Marie D. Pelland

Marie D. (LaJoie) Pelland., 73, of Blutter Road., in North Port, FL passed away suddenly on May 27, 2005 at West Marion Community Hospital in Ocala, Florida she was formerly of Shawmut Ave., in Swansea; she was the wife of fifty five years to Francis H. Pelland.

Born in Tiverton, Rhode Island on October 9, 1929 the daughter of the late Adelard and Fleuie (Paradis) LaJoie. Mrs. Pelland worked for the Ann Dale Cookie company in Fall River for eight years and then Raytheon Company in Dighton, MA as an assembler for several years and retired many years ago. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Swansea and a member of the YMCA in Fall River also.

Survivors beside her husband of fifty four years are a daughter Sandra L. Corbin of North Port, Florida three sons Bruce F. Pelland of Fall River, MA Brian K. Pelland of Swansea, MA Barry K. Pelland of Swansea, MA nine grandchildren and several great grand children many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Tillie LaJoie, Cecile Paulino, Paul and Adelard Lajoie.

Funeral Information

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 6, 2005 at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Church 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, DIRECTLY TO CHURCH, burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery Swansea. Flowers and calling hours are omitted.
